FATAL SHARK ATTACK SOLANA BEACH

Medics have responded to a fatal shark attack in Solana Beach. A Witness reported seeing a shark from the shore and another witness reported seeing the victim's leg being severed from the knee.Rancho Fire is notifying bordering cities lifeguard services and Coast Guards about the attack.
According the Florida Museum of Natural History's Shark file, the last known shark attack in San Diego County was in 1959.

Authorities say that the 60-year-old man was swimming with a triathlon group before he was attacked.
A Witness reported seeing a shark from the shore and another witness reported seeing the victim's leg being severed from the knee.
Sea Experts from Sea World and Scripps Aquarium are examining bite marks on the victim to determine the type of shark that attacked the victim.

Very scary considering I have friends visiting in town from Colorado this weekend, that came out to surf and I live on the Oceanside- Carlsbad boarder which is only 15 minutes away from Solana Beach!
